By Neil Gaiman
Imagine old gods from stories long ago, like Odin from Vikings, coming to America with people from far away. But now new gods like TV and the internet are getting all the attention, making the old ones weak and sad. A guy named Shadow gets out of jail, meets Odin (who calls himself Mr. Wednesday), and goes on a big road trip to help the old gods fight back. His dead wife comes back as a zombie, there's lots of magic coins and tricks, and they have a huge battle to see who gets to be boss in America. It's about how what we believe in changes everything!
